Step 4) Refill with new oil. Pour 2.7 liters of clean new 10W-40 motorcycle oil into the Honda CB500F / CBR500R / CB500X. Using a funnel can help to avoid making a mess. Don’t worry if the oil level shows full before you start your motorcycle, the oil hasn’t filled the filter yet.
The CB500X also features long travel suspension to iron out irregular road surfaces, wide handlebars to provide leverage and the upright riding position offers both comfort and a wide field of view for the rider. Perfect for a quick drive to town or a weekend road trip. The All-New Honda CB500X. Watch on.
Maxima Fork oil 5W. CST@40 15,9. Silkolene Pro RSF 5W. CST@40 26,7. So the numbers are all over the place and some 5W oils will be a lot thicker or thinner than others, which makes a huge difference in the forks, so it might be important tho the owners of RR suspension to know exactly which oil to use as a baseline.
I have found the stocks forks are very soft and yet too hard with air added. Difficult to get perfect amount of air in there or stay in there. So I just put in aftermarket springs (Race Tech) with 11.5" spacers and plan on using 30wt oil, but may end up dumping that and using 20wt instead. Depends on the results. 330cc ea thanks again.

a higher oil level (closer to 90mm) making the forks stiffen up progressively sooner before they bottom but, will never compensate for having too soft a spring (stock) for your weight. You can add preload to the spring but that only changes the ride height, not the spring's force. spring force = supports the weight.
